Integrated Community Development Initiative (ICDI)

Integrated Community Development Initiative has been heading towards the Millennium Development Goals accompanying the less advanced population to help improve the quality of life, education, health, social awareness through which conscious citizenship is being promoted and taking a meaningful part in the development of the country in a true sense. ICDI project has been ensuring the right to education for the remote rural areas, for establishing the women rights among the village folk creating awareness among them, abolishing child marriage from the society, alcohol uses to be controlled, ensuring each and every child goes and send to the school. Creating awareness among the rural people on the nevessity of education, and ensuring the primary health care facilities for the rural people. Integrated Community Development Initiative (ICDI) had been implemented in the divisions of Rajshahi and Rangpur in 13 Upazilas. The main activities of the project had been education in which there were 14 schools and 760 students had received their primary education from those schools. 200 families had been facilitated with IGA (Income Generated Activities). Apart from those activities there had been trainings given to 8000 people on child marriage and the disadvantages of child marriage. The organization had contributed to the development of the intervened localities bringing about an awareness among the people and leading the people towards the Sustainable Development.
