National Agency for Green Revolution (NAGR), as a non-govt. organization has been working
in the Northern districts of Bangladesh among the least developed and unaware communities for
their social development. (NAGR) National Agency for Green Revolution is a not for profit
developmental organization which has been registered to the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Peoples
Republic of Bangladesh Government. The organization had initiated the first voluntary activity
in the Shylhet region of the country. From 2018 onward the organization has been working in the
six districts of Northern divisions namely Rajshahi and Rangpur of Bangladesh among the
oppressed and downtrodden people relentlessly implementing pre-primary and primary
education, primary health awareness and treatment services, awareness about child marriage and
the bad impact of it and eradicating it from the society, reducing the alcohol and drug addiction
and creating awareness among the people, awareness of using safety clean drinking water, using
sanitary toilets and latrine, helping in taking initiative and making plan for income generating
activities to the families and helping the meritorious and poor students for their higher studies.
The organization has a tremendous contribution in awareness building, distribution of 4500 face
mask and hand sanitization during the pandemic Covid-19 from the year 2019-2022. Apart from
these the volunteers of the organization has gone to visit the villages and helped people
registering for the Covid-19 vaccinations. The organization has a dream of an extension of
activities in all the regions of Bangladesh to address the contemporary problems and intent to
implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) among the beneficiaries. The organization
also is interested in facing newly arising problems with skilled human resources. National
Agency for Green Revolution as an organization visualizes a non-discrimination equitable
society in future.
